Lt. Governor Eleni Kounalakis has joined Senator Alex Padilla in endorsing Luz Rivas for Congress in California’s 29th District.  As the highest ranking female elected official in the state, Lt. Governor Kounalakis’ endorsement is another great sign that Luz’s campaign is gaining momentum, even though it’s been just two weeks since she announced she was running.

Here’s what Lt. Governor Kounalakis said:  

“Luz Rivas is a pathbreaking leader who has made a huge difference for Valley families.  She's worked hard to create educational opportunity for young people in the Valley.  And as someone who cares deeply about education, I especially admire her work encouraging more Latina girls to become interested in math, science, and technology.  We need more public servants like Luz Rivas, with a proven record of helping people.”
